The story of Rosa Julia Leyva reflects the brutality of the Mexican prison system for victims of the war on drugs. In her testimony we observe the abuse of authority, the continuing violations of human rights and criminal sentences that are completely disproportionate. Julia Rosa offers testimony to the ideal of a new society for younger generations to have a better future. She calls for change in drug policy and the rule of law in the country.

La historia de Rosa Julia Leyva refleja la brutalidad del sistema penitenciario para las víctimas de la guerra contra las drogas de México. En su testimonio observamos el abuso de autoridad, las continuas violaciones de derechos humanos y sentencias criminales completamente desproporcionadas. Rosa Julia ofrece su testimonio con el ideal de que las nuevas generaciones tengan un mejor futuro, para lo que pide un cambio en las política de drogas y el estado de derecho.

This is a convincing and moving documentary. BUT, I had to get a translator to understand it, and that robbed it of a part of the effect, as my translator's Spanish was not good and he had to see small sections repeatedly to understand what was being said.

Perhaps as English version could come soon?
